Join SLIP and a Professor at Blue Ridge Community College to learn about AI, or artificial intelligence. It refers to the creation of intelligent machines that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and language translation. AI involves the development of computer programs and algorithms that can learn from data and make decisions or predictions based on that data.
AI is being used in a wide variety of industries today, including:
Healthcare: It is being used to develop new drugs and treatments, diagnose diseases, and provide personalized care.
Social media and marketing: It can write poems and emails.
Finance: It is being used to detect fraud, manage risk, and provide investment advice.
Manufacturing: In manufacturing, AI is being used to automate tasks, optimize production, and improve quality control.
